Federally financed or assisted construction projects subject to the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts must contain a prevailing wage determination. The wage determination is reached by surveying ongoing or recently completed construction projects within a geographic area.
“Wages paid on federally funded jobs subject to the DBA should reflect wages and fringe benefits paid to construction workers in the county where the work was performed,” said Wayne Kotowski, regional administrator for the division’s Southeast region. “Limited participation leads to wage rates that do not reflect actual paid wages. We encourage all contractors and interested parties to complete and submit the survey.”
Notification letters and data collection forms, or WD-10s, are being sent to contractors and interested parties. Survey responses must be postmarked by May 29, 2015. To complete the survey online, visit www.dol.gov/whd/programs/dbra/wd10/index.htm. Online surveys are due by midnight on May 29, 2015.
