Obama Issues Executive Order Raising Minimum Wage for Federal Contract Workers

President Obama today issued an Executive Order raising the minimum wage for federal contract workers to $10.10, effective for new contracts beginning January 1, 2015.

The higher wage will apply to new contracts and replacements for expiring contracts. For more information, see the fact sheet from the White House.
