The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will offer an outreach forum for the Hispanic community July 11 in Denver. The free event is part of the division’s “We Can Help” campaign, an effort to educate workers about workplace rights and protections under federal law.
Spanish-speaking investigators from the Wage and Hour Division and the department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration will provide compliance assistance materials. They will take complaints and gather information regarding cases in which workers feel they are being denied back wages, working below the federal minimum wage or without overtime pay, have been hurt on the job or face retaliation for reporting on-the-job injuries or dangerous conditions, or other relevant concerns.
